So Jimmy Butler has now officially requested a trade from Minnesota. This is truly no surprise but it is something that T-wolve fans shudder when they hear it. The truth is that we don’t need him. Jimmy isn’t that good. Also, his trade value is extremely high. We can get a young new star to put on the team like Aaron Gordan or Jonathan Issac. But all in all, I can’t do this anymore. Timberwolves are screwed.
The Brown’s Won?!?
The Clevland Browns ended their 635 losing streak with a win over the Jets. After they put in number 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield, who threw for 201 yards and led his team to a victory. He also had big help from Carlos Hyde who ran for two TD’s and the defense who shut down the passing game with two interceptions. The biggest question is will this start another 600-day losing streak or will this be the start of a 15-1-1 record. Now as much as most people like an underdog, most people like trashing on the Browns even more. So some advice for Browns fans, just keep partying and get used to the excuse. “At least we won 1 game.”
The Problem with the NCAA
If you are reading this in the months August through November then you know that it is college football season. We all get excited to watch these players every fall. Rival schools, like Alabama and Auburn face off in unforgettable games. Everything about college football is awesome. But whats not so awesome is the system in place for the players and teams, the NCAA.
It’s 2018 now, we all know about the corruption of the NCAA. We all know why college players should be paid and things like that. However, we have been so focused on that, that we have forgotten one thing, what would happen if we did play players or even fixed the NCAA.
Let’s say that the NCAA forgot about dollar signs and said, “Corruption is for losers and what money for anyways.” What would happen? First, they would start paying college players. This sounds perfect, right? Well, not necessarily. This would cause big schools who take in cash by the truckload to get all the best players because they can afford it. If you think Bama is a powerhouse now imagine them with the top 10 college players in the SEC on one team. All those great upsets would be virtually impossible.
You may be really confused right now, the title of this was The Problem with the NCAA. So what exactly is the problem with the NCAA? It is the rules that the NCAA has gone by for their whole life that is not easily fixable. The mistakes they made in the past have hurt their future. But don’t worry because it can be fixed, but that’s for basketball season.

The Not So Golden, State Warriors
The Warriors have been dominating the NBA for the last 3 years. Most people will say this is broken and ruining the NBA. Frankly, those people are not wrong, but what are we going to do about it. Seriously you need to give props to the Warriors front office. Somehow, someway they have been able to get 5 all-stars. Before people go saying we need to block this and not let them have them. The problem is you cant, the NBA is not allowed to block signings. So then what are we supposed to do just sit through the pain of them getting championships every year? Yes actually, but it might be as long as you might think.
This year unless freak injuries occur, we pretty much know who will win. However next year is a little less certain. Stephan Curry’s contract will jump up 3 million every year for the remaining years on his contract. This means that they will either loss Cousins or Thompson, whose contracts are expiring. Chances are they might lose both. Thompson has proven he is a star but he has never been able to play to his full potential. Now that he has won the rings, he needs to create a brand for himself with a team like the Thunder, Knicks, or Lakers. Cousins loyalty is spotty and he really just wants a ring then leave. So if both Thompson and Cousins leave that will still leave a championship contending team with Curry, Durant, and Green. However Durant, Green, and Iguodala’s contracts expire in 2020. Now they could stay and consistently make the playoffs or they could see the situation and try to rebuild.
